Real People. Real Landscapes. Real Performance.
Showcasing real people who use Dedito to get the job done!
At Dedito, our brand was built on a simple belief: our Italian-made outdoor footwear should be able to tackle unforgiving landscapes and unpredictable weather. But we know only too well that real performance isn’t shown in a photoshoot—it comes from being tested in the fields, on the fells, and through everything the UK weather can throw at us.
That’s why we are showcasing our Brand Champions—real people who live and work outdoors all year round, and who rely on our boots to get their job done throughout the year.
One of them is Emma Bamford of Foxhope Gundogs.
Based in the Scottish Highlands, Emma runs a successful working dog kennel, which also offers tailored one-to-one and residential training, alongside working her team of Labradors and Vizlas up to six days a week on local shoots throughout the season. The rugged terrain and ever-changing weather of the Highlands make this the perfect testing ground for Dedito footwear —and Emma has been wearing our boots for several years.
So, why Dedito? Here’s what Emma had to say:
“The reason I choose Dedito is simple. In this male-dominated industry, most boots tend to be clumpy and heavy. I understand that durability is essential—especially for the work we do—but Dedito boots are comfy and lightweight. It’s great to be out on the heather all day and not feel like I’ve been wearing bricks. My feet feel like they’ve been in slippers.
I love that there are different boots for different jobs—just like you have different coats for different weathers, you should have that in your footwear too.
The Moorlands are my go-to on warmer days out on the grouse. They’re hard-wearing, which is essential, because we all know how brutal heather can be on boots.
For the wetter winter weather, I’ve recently started wearing the leather Haakan boots. They’re solid, warm, waterproof, and comfortable for all-day wear. And as the season moves into pheasant and partridge, they’re perfect for the changing terrain.
What I really appreciate is that even though Dedito offers a variety of boot styles, the same high level of comfort runs through the entire range. Put it this way: I’ve NEVER had a blister or needed to break in a pair.”
