Here's a handy guide to some of our frequently asked questions!

What is the sizing like on Dedito Boots?

Dedito Boots are made by an established family of Italian bootmakers and the lasts/moulds that are used in the factory to make the boots are slightly slimmer than UK sizes.  As a result, we find that in many cases our customers will go up a half to a full size on what they would normally wear in UK.   Why not take a look at our sizing chart to give you a better idea of which size to choose: https://deditoboots.com/sizes/

I need to return my Dedito purchase. What do I do?

If you are looking to return a recent Dedito purchase due to incorrect sizing/fit, please note items must be returned to us within 30 days of having been received.  If 30 days have passed since your order was received, unfortunately we are unable to offer you a refund.

Please return items in a new and unused condition and wherever possible in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a returns form, together with the item that will be returned, stating full name, address, copy of the purchase receipt and reason for return.  Returns cannot be completed without a fully completed returns form.  Please note we do not offer exchanges.

If you wish to return a faulty item, please visit our ‘warranty’  page for more information on our warranty process.

What is the best way to look after my Dedito Boots?

Investing time in your boots and looking after them properly will reap rewards in the long term!

We recommend you recondition our Dodi, Luca and Moorland boots with a good quality wax once a month, as this helps to keep the leather soft and supple and supports the natural oils and waterproofing.

Simply apply a good quality natural leather wax all over clean, dry boots with a soft bristle brush (including over the PU coating) and leave to soak in.

For our all-leather Haakan boots you may find you need to apply wax more frequently (some customers prefer to clean and apply wax after each wear).

And if you have misjudged the depth of that stream, boggy ditch or river and ended up with boots full of water? We know it can be tempting to just put them on the radiator or pop them next to the fire to dry, but when it comes to drying leather boots, patience is a virtue, as drying them out too quickly can reduce the natural oils in the leather, making it dry and prone to cracking.

Here’s what we suggest to help dry your wet boots safely and effectively!

  • Clean off any mud with a soft bristle brush
  • Remove the insoles and laces – this helps to speed up the drying process and helps to avoid any discolouration of the leather
  • Tip the boots upside down and leave them for 10 – 15 minutes to make sure any excess water has drained out
  • Stuff newspaper into the toes and again leave for 10-15 minutes to soak up as much water as possible then remove
  • If you don’t have any drywarmers to hand, leave the boots tipped up in a cool, dry place to dry as slowly as possible for as long as possible
  • After drying it’s always best to recondition the leather with wax to help maintain their waterproofness and keep the leather soft and supple.
